Lee is a precocious but lovable, freckle-faced five-and-a-half-year-old boy with a famous cowlick white hair and a penchant for mischief in the Hybrid City located in Espoo, Finland. Lee recently graduated from college and is about to enter the Pentax Industries (a division of Petansco Corporation and owned by Viacom) soda-making workforce. Along with his best friend David is a cranky, cantankerous, elderly man, Lee is initially very excited, but his latent, non-conformist attitude appears upon finding out that his choice of job will never change once picked.
Captain Freeze and Gary Belson drag Barbara to the operation room and prepare to sedate her, revealing that the blood transfusion was just the cover story. Koonak, whom Freeze had promised no harm would come to Barbara, appears and attempts to stop them, buying Barbara time to run off and hide. As Belson gives chase with a gun, Dan arrives in the Baitwing and knocks Belson out. However, a spark from one of Belson's gunshots lands in a puddle of oil from a leaking fuel tank and starts a fire that begins spreading rapidly. Dan's attempt to put the fire out with a house is interrupted by Freeze's polar bears, whom Bailey and Hank trick into jumping off the rig, although they land safely in the water. But the fire has spread so far that the oil rig is beginning to collapse.
Freeze still insists that Belson perform the operation, they both yell before falling on a Skull Raft. Barbara says on how "skulls mean bad medicine," and Dan responds that the skulls were good medicine for her. The Skull Raft heads towards a nearby waterfall of Antarctica. Out of panic, they both jump off and fall onto a small portion of land with several Riddler Blocks on it. Dan hits two nearby Riddler Blocks. While two blocks spray out coins, the third block releases a blue-spotted egg. The egg falls off the Block, and Dan catches the egg, which then hatches, producing a small dark blue penguin named Nori. Nori proceeds to refer to Barbara as "mama," to Barbara and Dan's surprises.
The next morning, wandering Antarctica, Nori starts crying. Dan asks Nori if he is hungry. Dan and Barbara are approached by a purple penguin and a blue one, which surprises Dan, Barbara and Nori. Dan hands Nori over to the oversized penguins, and Nori grabs onto Dan's legs, yelling, "Couple as parents!" The purple penguin attempts to give Nori for Dan, and Dan quickly pulls him away. The oversized penguins then attempt to "where" all three - Dan, Barbara, and Nori, who escape by jumping over a river of Antarctica, using a polar bear as a stepping stone. They both enter a Warp Pipe.
Dan, Barbara, and Nori are dumped into the ocean, where they sink as Nori yells. They swim through a nearby tunnel, only to be chased by a recently awakened barracuda. Fleeing from the barracuda, Dan, Barbara, and Nori narrowly avoid a swarm of Urchins. Exiting the underwater tunnel, Dan, Barbara, and Nori lose the barracuda, who had fallen back asleep. While trying to swim to the surface of the water, they are attacked by the hammerhead shark, which Dan defeats with a stomp. The great white shark is fired at Dan, Barbara, and Nori. Trying to escape the great white shark, Luigi and Yoshi swim onto a Dolphin in a group, who jumps over the great white shark, bringing them to shore. Once on a beach in New York, Dan wrings the water from his cap; as he is doing this, though, Nori waddles away. Noticing Nori has wandered away, Dan, Barbara, and Nori begin to search for him.
As Nori is admiring some flowers, a caterpillar walks towards him. Dan and Barbara jump on the snail and pick up Nori. The snail growls at them and walks towards them, and it is joined by multiple others. Barbara cries for "motherfucker" from anti-heroes. Nori begins to eat all the snails, defeating them. They all run in, having heard his friend's cries for motherfucker. He is quickly eaten by Nori. Panicking, Barbara convinces Nori that Max is not an enemy, and Nori spits him out. Benedict and Lois clean off the saliva on Max. After Benedict tells Tiberius not to mess with Nori, Nori proceeds to leap into Barbara's arms and lick his face, calling her "mama" again, much to Max's amusement. After he is finished laughing, Max tells Benedict that he had escaped Coney Island but was unable to aid the three ninjas in escaping as well.
Reaching the Coney Island, Dan leads the others in through a nearby Warp Pipe, which takes them to the blue basement of Coney Island. Dan asks Benedict to hit a Riddler Block to turn on the lights. Max gives Nori to Dan and jumps at the Riddler Block, but he misses. Benedict asks for a boost, so Dan puts Nori on the ground and lifts Barbara up as Barbara jumps off Dan, giving him enough height to hit the Riddler Block, which activates a spotlight over them as Barbara falls on top of Dan. Nori wanders off as they all work on turning on the light.
Tracking Nori down, they all find him near a snowball-belching President Enterprises Statue. As they all attempt to dodge the snowballs, Nori eats them and manages to shut down the statue by spitting fire on it. After he destroys the statue, a secret passageway opens, which Nori ventures down as they all follow him. Nori nonchalantly walks down a hallway, unaware of the large Skewers shooting out of the ceiling. Pushing Nori out of the way of a spike, Benedict gets flattened. As Nori runs off, Lois grabs the newspaper-thin Benedict and manages to return him to normal using a nearby magic balloon. They then continue chasing Nori, who leaps through the gate of a fence and opens a nearby door, meeting an American football player.
Quickly climbing over the fence, Dan bashes the football player on the head, only for it to split into three. Tackling Dan and knocking him into Barbara, making them roll into a ball, the American football players are all eaten at once and subsequently spat out by Nori, who enters Piece of Resistance. Following Nori, who eats a piece of tapestry on the resistance, into President Enterprises' personal chambers, they all are attacked by a gang of Mechabots, who are directed by King Koopa from behind a pillar. While running from the Mechabots, they all discover that Nori has eaten everything in Piece of Resistance. President Enterprises enters and, angered at them for his Piece of Resistance being ruined, orders the Mechabots to attack them. However, they are saved by Nori, who eats the Mechabots. Seeing how much Nori has eaten, Dan threatens President Enterprises, saying that if he doesn't hand over Harumi, Nori is going to eat all of Coney Island "piece by piece."
President Enterprises states that he can build another Coney Island, but they all can't build another princess, and he is unfazed by their threat due to them being unable to gain the key needed to release Harumi. Just then, Nori eats it out of his hand. Without the key, President Enterprises vows revenge and flees into a nearby Warp Pipe. Praising Nori, Dan quickly asks him if he can spit out the key, which he does, right into a nearby keyhole.
Once the key enters the keyhole, they all suddenly enjoy his new liberty in their pursuit of New York, but escape through a panicky family's car they decide humans go insane and that he should go home. Unfortunately, it begins to snow and he crash lands on a windowsill. The apartment's occupants have just come home and they close the window before they all can escape. After freaking out the three ninjas inside and nearly being squashed, they all rescued by the teenage son of the father Master Lloyd Shigetomo and gently put back outside. The police quickly arrive, and they all questioned by Detective Tiger about the events leading up to the incident.
They are awakened in the middle of the desert by a hippie photographer named Stacie, and her golden retriever, Sandy. Bailey and Hank immediately fall in love with them, then the doorbell rings and Pingu and Pinga run to greet Grandpa who presents them with a lollypop each from somewhere amongst his feathers, but when Dad comes out of kitchen to meet him, he tells his young penguins that they must not have their lollypops until after dinner. While Pingu, Pinga, and Grandpa wait for Dad to bring in the dinner, Grandpa shows his grandchildren another magic trick by making a flower disappear from inside a napkin and reappear from behind Pinga's back.
Pingu's parents are enjoying a quiet dinner, but Pingu and Pinga aren't angry because they are happy with boiled green vegetables. Grandpa and Father decide to share their food. Father gives Grandpa a piece of his fish, Grandpa gives Father some of his greens and then tries to get Pingu to eat some of her beetroots, but he refuses and throws it at Pinga's chest. Father becomes enraged and tells him off, but Pingu ignores him and then decides to rock in his chair until he rocks too far. He tries to stop himself falling backward by grabbing the table cloth, but he falls anyway, defeats the sea monster with him. All the food goes everywhere and the plates get smashed against the wall. His parents become furious and Grandpa spanks him. Pingu asks his father for a hug after that, but he rejects it, so he leaves the igloo crying happy, feeling that his parents love him anymore. As he leaves, he looks back at the igloo and threatens to never return home again.
Back inside, Pingu's parents and Pinga enjoy some quiet time; Father is knitting and Grandpa is reading the newspaper with Pinga at which point she notices how late it is getting but Father is sure Pingu will be back soon a wiser penguin, not realizing about his threats. Meanwhile, Pingu starts to become scared when he realizes how hazardous the outdoors can be at night. He nearly gets crushed by falling ice and then comes face to face with an ice mound that looks like a skull, which catches him off-guard, and several other menacing mounds of ice that look like monsters with horrible hands. Traumatized, he runs off and hides inside a small ice cave. There, he sits and waits for help.
Back home, Pinga is very worried about how late it is and the fact that Pingu has still not returned. Father decides that this time they should go and look for him. Grandpa walks ahead and calls for Pingu while Father drives close behind on the tractor sled. Pingu hears his grandpa's calls and replies. Happy to see his grandson, Grandpa grabs Pingu and hugs him, calling to Father to drive over. Father states that it would haven't happened if he, Pinga and Grandpa hadn't been so angry and Pinga apologizes to Pingu. Father drives them home and Grandpa feeds Pingu and Pinga a bowl of hot soup in front of a warm log fire.
While they are going through a grocery store they all shocked to discover that the humans have been stealing the hybrids' soda for centuries, and after venturing to Coca-Cola and witnessing the artificial process by which the soda is gathered, he ultimately realizes that his true calling in life is to set the universe right by suing the human race for stealing their precious soda. The pinkish-blue alien fighter becomes conscious of the fact that Bailey, Hank, Stacie, and Sandy are holding the comic books, he transforms a two-headed turkey into the oversized monster to chase them, but they all managed to go him mad because Randall gets butthurt and tries to beat up Sulley but the sea creatures have been brought alive and continue to attack Sulley instead of the book, thus making him feel like an enemy, although the oversized turkey is still alive.
When questioned, Tiberius, reveals that he is, in fact, an aspiring actor who was only trying out for the part of an Inuit in a commercial. After his burger truck was robbed by the Tasty Bandit, he went out into the snowy woods to get into character for his role and had spent the rest of the day chopping trees. At sunset, a large tree rolled after him and pushed him through the window of Lois' home.
The investigation then turns to Lois, who reveals that, unbeknownst to her family, she is an extreme sports enthusiast. During a ski race earlier that day, she was attacked by the opposing team but got away safely after learning that they were hired by the Tasty Bandit. She then returned to her home in an attempt to save Max from the big bad monster.
Lee, David, Julia and Otto have been brought by the oversized two-headed turkey and now they're going to rock island, just like they did in the past years. Lee and Otto made the campfire on the same island, which is where the turkey was too big for them. David says he's going to go to house football next week. The next morning, David was in contact with the fishermen, who were fighting for him, then Lee swimming in the sea and buying the fish, and the fishermen coming in behind him chaos together to make a big deal out of it.
While roaming the streets of Manhattan, Nori was captured by Nana (the good old lady from Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa) who mistakes him for a chew toy for her cold-blooded, vicious dog, Mr. Bite (now Mr. Chew's name are different). They all rescue Nori from Nana's apartment before it is too late. They escalate into chaos against Mr. Bite, all-the-while, not noticed by Nana, who is occupied watching a football game. When they are done, they detonate the door with a stick of dynamite (which Bandit had repeatedly attempted to use prior), finally attracting Nana's attention and leaving Mr. Bite to take the fall for what all together have done to her place, while the police, who have been located by Bandit, is waiting at the bottom of the mountain to defeat Mr. Bite.
At the end of the film, they invite Chief-Bane to their home. But he has already invited several other guests, resulting in a massive sing-a-long to a parody of Simpsons theme (now performed by Green Day from The Simpsons Movie).
In a mid-credits scene, the three-hour day packed through the park managed to take place and with one big surprise package: an oversized two-headed extra turkey brought in by the blue alien to catch the comic book packages whose grand opening was promoted by Bailey and Stacie with the help of a special attraction call.
